What does Currawarna mean by the term “Assisted Living Facility”?
This means that residents are relatively independent in tasks like mobility, eating and looking after themselves, but just need a bit of extra support and assistance here and there, have “household” tasks like room cleaning, laundry and meal preparation taken care of, and the security of knowing trained staff are available 24/7

No. Residential Aged Care is typically for individuals who are requiring a higher level of nursing care and support. Currawarna Assisted Living offers a lower-level daily support care. A place where you still have autonomy and independence, but with a higher level of support structures in place
I have heard terrible things in the media about aged care facilities; I am really concerned…..why is Currawarna any different?
Currawarna was created by the community for the community, and so the goal is to care for residents in a way that we would like ourselves or our loved ones to be cared for. The meals are not only nutritious, tasty and generous but presented with care and flare. The building is warm, the rooms are clean. The staff are qualified, kind and caring. There are small touches like table clothes, teapots, and flowers. Residents are treated with the respect and dignity that all Elders of a community should be. Currawarna is also a not-for-profit organisation, so it is not structured to make money. Any profits are funneled back into the betterment of the facility for its residents. Currawarna is of the community and for the community, Locals caring for Locals, and a place everyone can be proud of
